About Me

On a daily/weekly basis, there are a number of things that flow through my head. If I am near a computer, I tend to write an email and send it off to my loved ones. If  they aren’t busy, I will get acknowledgement of receipt. If am lucky, I will get a response. If I am extremely fortunate, I will get insightful feedback. As it turns out, extreme fortune doesn’t come about every day.

So, I decided to write a blog where I can chronicle my thoughts and at least put them on paper, so that in a year I can look back at what I thought at the time and laugh at myself for being silly. I also hope to see that 1 year from whenever I write, there is some amount of growth. I have either learned more, my thinking has evolved, or I have solved (or on my way of solving) a specific problem I have identified – if I can.

I don’t profess to be any sort of guru, all-knowing wizard. I know enough to know that I don’t know. Getting my thoughts on paper and putting them out there is part of my exercise to improve upon what I don’t know.

My name is Marc Gayle, I live in Jamaica, and love technology (the consumer web is my main love now), economics, business, startup life/culture, insightful conversation and my family. Finished my MBA at the University of Tampa in December 2009 (I know, don’t hold it against me) and am trying to keep up with my growing family (son and daughter). Needless to say, I tend to get a bit busy, but try to keep things updated here as much as I can.

I am also bootstrapping a startup with blood, sweat and care.

Did I mention I am happily married?
